New Viinijärvi Library opens in late August

The new Viinijärvi Library will open in late August. The self-service library will also be reintroduced with the opening of the new library. The aim is for customers to be able to use the library independently immediately after its official opening.

The library is located in the same building as Viinijärvi school at Kirkkotie 4. The library entrance and customer parking area are on Kirkkotie.

Preparations for the new library will continue throughout August.

Self-service library returns to Viinijärvi

There has been no self-service option at the temporary library premises. With the opening of the new library, the popular self-service hours will also return.

• The self-service library enables customers to use the library outside regular customer service hours. Access to the library is provided with a library card and the associated PIN.
• Any self-service library agreement previously concluded with the Vaara Libraries network will also be valid at the new Viinijärvi Library. Please note that the right to use the self-service library is personal, and customers must not allow other people to enter the library by using their own access credentials.
• Library staff recommend that customers familiarise themselves with the new library’s self-service and safety instructions before their first self-service visit in the new library.
