Joensuu main library closed April 18 – May 5

Joensuu Main Library is closed for renovation starting from Easter. The library is closed from April 18 to May 5, and opens again on Tuesday, May 6.

Please note that on Thursday, April 17 the library closes at 16.00 (4 pm).

During the renovation:
– No loans are due on the days the library is closed. Please note that this only applies to items borrowed from the main library.
– You can renew your loans at the web library or in other Vaara libraries
– You can use the drop box for returns on Koskikatu 24/7. Please note, that board games and other large items do not fit in the box.
– You can not pick up any holds from the main library during the renovation. You can choose another pickup location if the hold is not yet waiting for you at the library.

After the renovation:
– The service will be on the ground floor in the current newspaper area in the reading room.
– New locations for computers, newspapers & magazines, as well as reading areas
– New library rooms you can book

Although there will be only one service desk in the library from now own, the staff is there to help you also in other parts of the library.

The library will collect feedback from library users after opening in May, and again later this year.
